Can I do this?

  • I am building a membership site where user’s profiles are composed of categories and tags.

    I need a search facility where the user hits a search button and his/her own tag and category profile is used as the search terms/criteria.

    The output is a list of users arranged hierarchically who share some or all categories and tags with the searcher.

    Could this be done with this plugin?

    If the users categories and tags are stored in the user meta table, then yes it will find the user data and you will be able to display what is in the usermeta. – try it, its free.

    If that data is not display friendly, then you may need an add-on of some kind to make it look more usable.

    Equally, if the user data is stored elsewhere, an add-on could pull it in.
