Can i display Youtube livestream in my website??

Thanks for contacting us! With a Live Stream feed in the Pro version of the plugin, you would only need to set up the feed once and then new live streams will be displayed as you create them. You do not need to change the ID or settings of the feed.

One thing to note is that due to how the YouTube API works, you must schedule your live stream in advance for it to be displayed in your feed, rather than starting it right away. You could just schedule it for shortly before you are going live, but it would need to be scheduled in advance to appear in the feed.

Hello and thank you for your response,

I read your article of how to embed the live streamin the website and i would like to make sure that if i embed the livestream it will play inside the website.

For example in Step 4: Customize Your Live YouTube Feed im a little bit confused.

So your plugin helps me to embed my livestream feed or i can embed only a video that will play if the client is live.

To be more specific, here is what my client wants to be displayed :

The box that you see will be the live stream and when my client is live it will start playing otherwise it will display this image.

Kind of a twitch live stream to understand.

Please let me know if this is possible so i will be sure for my actions.

Hi Helen,

When you schedule the live stream, if you set a thumbnail for the stream, this is what will be shown on your page in the feed before the stream goes lives. Once the stream goes live, then visitors to your page can view the live stream directly on your website.

So the important thing in this case would be to be sure you schedule the live stream in advance, and set the thumbnail image that you would like to appear for the stream before it goes live.

ok this sounds pretty nice.

So, i have to do these steps every time i go live or i will set them just once for all the times i go live.

What i mean is: everytime i go live in my channel the livestream will appear in the feed or i have to change the feed and set the thumbnail everytime i go live??

Can i set the thumbnail just once to be displayed only one time and only??
