Can I disable the PayPal “Pay Later” Option?

    Is there a way to modify the plugin files so that PayPal’s “Pay Later” button doesn’t show up? I’m using this to sell an item for $20, so having an installment type of payment is a little silly.

    Hi,

    The Pay in 4 is PayPal’s Buy Now, Pay Later Interest-Free Installments Option. This is controlled through your PayPal account. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with our plugin.

    Thanks for the info, I was trying to find out how to disable it in PayPal but not finding much help, although I read somewhere that you can disable it by using the disable-funding parameter in the JS. Maybe I misunderstood what I read.

    I don’t understand why it’s showing up on a $20 purchase when it’s only supposed to show up on purchases over $30 though.

    Try checking the following checkbox in the “Disable Funding” section of our plugin’s settings:

    
PayPal Credit

    That should disable the standard “Pay Later” option (which is really PayPal credit).

    The PayPal’s pay in 4 (their buy now pay later option is little bit different than the PayPal credit). I think the pay in 4 option can be controlled from your PayPal account.

    Thanks, I did try that and it disabled the Pay Later button but also disabled the Venmo button so I just get the PayPal button. I tried it the other way, checking the Venmo option and unchecking the PayPal Credit one and it shows two buttons, PayPal and Buy Later.

    And just before I posted this response I tried it again and it WORKED! I don’t know what happened – maybe a glitch from PayPal earlier or something.
