• Hi All
So the previous person who worked on our website installed some plugins on wordpress, some which I have deleted finding them unhelpful. But there is one that I am unsure of, namely “Elementor”. I have not found it helpful, but I am worried about just removing it, since there may be some elements on the site based on Elementor, and so removing it may crash the site. Is there a way to find out whether anything on the site is based on Elementor?

  • You can check the site’s HTML to see if the Elementor plugin is being used or not. If you don’t know how to do this, give us the site’s URL so we can check for you.

You can also simply disable the plugin and check the site. If it breaks, you know the plugin is being used. Re-enabling the plugin should restore the site, but please don’t take my word for it: backup your site first!

Another option is to clone the site to a local/staging place. Then you can do all your tests on the cloned site, so the public site is never affected while you test out which plugin is used or not used.

Thanks! Actually I will just do what you said, if it breaks I will just say that the guy on the internet told me to. LOL.
    I will have a look.
