Can I delete an address and then move another site to that address?
-
I started a blog at one address, but decided I wanted a different one. So I created a new blog at the new address, thinking I would have to transfer everything to the new address by hand.
But then I noticed that WordPress has a built-in feature for transferring to a new address, so I could have just done that. But I’ve already created the new address, so I can’t transfer. When I go to delete the address I’ve just created, it warns me that if I do that “I can never get its content or its address back.”
Does that mean that I won’t be able to transfer to that address after deleting it?
(For clarity, these are the sites I’m talking about: I want to move EinsteinUnderYourNose.wordpress.com to
MiraclesUnderYourNose.wordpress.com . But I’ve already created miraclesunderyournose so I can’t transfer.)
