Can I delete all inactive themes?

  • Dear friends,
    my wife’s website has been developed with DIVI but I also have other loaded but inactive themes such as Storefront (which I had used with WooCommerce), Dyad and
    Twenty 14, 15, 16 and 17.

    Can I safely delete all except the active DIVI?

    Somewhere I’ve read something like “NEver delete WP default theme” … if this is true what does it refer to?

    Yup, Keep 2017 as it’s a fallback in case Something Bad happens to your current them.

    Yes you can delete unused themes but it is a good idea to keep a default WordPress theme around just in case. Sometimes updates to themes and plugins can break things on your site and having a default WordPress theme to drop back to can be helpful in troubleshooting and figuring out where the issue(s) are coming from.
