Can I delete a thread in the support forums?

    Or edit it? There was an edit option when I first posted, but I guess it’s on a timer because I can’t seem to edit the post anymore.

    This comes up a lot and I wish that there was an auto responder for these topics. The time limit for editing posts here is 35 minutes and will not be changed.

    I’m sorry, but editing posts or deleting threads is something only done in extreme cases.

    There is nothing sensitive in your posts. Search engine hits are never extreme and your threads will not be deleted.

    So how do I go about getting someone to delete a thread or at least edit out my site URL?

    You don’t. That’s just not done here unless it is an extreme case. Your URL showing up in these forums is not an extreme case.

    Think of it this way: there are 7+ million posts in these forums and requests for editing out a small percentage of these posts would be a full time job.
