• I am hoping to purchase the plugin, but could not see an email to get in contact.

I want to create a kind of invite only fashion showroom. Essentially once a ‘brand’ get an invite they can create a ‘showroom’ which is like a Facebook style look book with 360 degree images.

Then ‘buyers’ come to the site, pay monthly and then they can see the above showrooms.

So there needs to be 2 different types of ‘members’ – both of which will view different things ‘members’ and not be able to see the same type of members. Is that possible?

So the buyers need to be able to view the ‘showrooms’ then we need a way to direct message on the site between buyers and brands – We need to be able to track which pages the buyers view so we can email the brands reports at the end of the month
    Is this possible?

Also, is it possible to make the UM addon with WooCommerce to just be part of the sign up form? So it’s not a weird experience of purchasing then going to the members area?

    Thanks

  • For different types of members not being able to see each other, yes, UM works great for this. UM lets you create multiple member directories, and those directories can list only users with specific roles if you want. The built-in members page uses the default member directory, and you can completely disable that (just make the page admin-only accessible). You then put the shortcode for your custom directory on a page that you only give access to the people you want to be able to see it.

The rest of your tracking stuff sounds like a job for a different plugin though (in combination with UM perhaps).

I’m not familiar with how the UM addon for WooCommerce works, I haven’t used it. I do have a site where a member buys an “upgrade” to their role via WooCommerce, but I have a custom plugin with site customizations in it and I just hooked the WooCommerce checkout process to watch for purchases of that product and then change their UM role from my plugin when the payment completes. In my case, they register for the site first, then their account gets upgraded when they pay.
