Can I create a sub directory dev site?

    I am looking at this plugin with the Migrator enhancement to create a DEV environment for my site.

    1. I wanted to know can I use this some way and put the dev site in a sub directory of the my site. Reason I want it in the sub is because some of my plugins are licensed and only work under my domain. Also my entire site is SSL.

    2. I just want a secure way of making snap shots of my install and be able to test plugins and theme upgrades make enhancements to the site in a controlled dev environment and transfer changes to the production environment.

    3. Also can I lock out dev from public and all search engines?

    4. I am also wondering if there is way I can pin point what I changed in the dev environment and only move those changes life files, pages, and maybe DB to prod easily.
