    Hello,

I’m currently using a plugin called “Custom Post Type UI” for my Custom Post Types.

Then I’m using another plugin called “Custom Post Types, Taxonomies and Fields for Avada Builder” to display my custom Post Types via the Avada Builder plugin.

I was wondering, if instead, I could use your plugin to convert and display my existing posts types with Avada?

Thank you and have a great day,

    Hi,

    Yes and no.

You can switch from the Custom Post Types UI plugin over to this one by enabling this one, registering the post types and then disabling the CPTUI plugin. There is no automatic process, you will need to add them manually but it’s quick.

Now, one thing to mention is that with plugins like this or the CPTUI plugin there could be extra settings added by the theme such as I’ve done in my Total theme as you can see on the docs here – https://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/adding-custom-post-types/

So it’s possible your Avada theme is doing the same thing in which case I wouldn’t advice switching to a different post type plugin as you could lose those extra settings. This is something to ask the theme developer about.

And regarding the “Custom Post Types, Taxonomies and Fields for Avada Builder” I am not familiar with this plugin, but my Post Types Unlimited plugin doesn’t have the ability to register custom fields or to display post types. The purpose of this plugin is primarily to register your post types anything else is best done by the theme itself or addon plugins.

I hope this clears things up but let me know if you have any followup questions!
