My clients have been using the add/edit order screen (Woocommerce —> Orders —> Add order) to put orders through for mail order (non ecommerce) orders. This keeps stock up to date etc.

But, it’s very strange and confusing that each product only shows the price with tax removed. While it seems to add everything correctly for the final total, it’s off-putting to the user, who now feels the need to double check every order as the prices just look ‘wrong’.

Is there a way to either just show the amount including tax, or alternatively show the price without tax, then tax, then the full amount?

Additionally, it’s also very inconvenient having to click on the ‘recalculate’ button just to get it to show tax at all. Why can’t this just show straight away?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @wukka

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your clients are finding it confusing to see product prices without tax on the add/edit order screen and that they would prefer to see the amount including tax or the price without tax followed by the tax amount and then the full amount. I also acknowledge the inconvenience of having to click on the Recalculate button to show the tax amount.

Kindly be informed that this is the default behavior of the WooCommerce core, and there isn’t a built-in option to change this. You can learn more about that here: Manually Adding an Order

However, you can consider hiring a developer to create a custom solution that automatically calculates and displays the tax amount without the need to click on the Recalculate button. You can find experienced WooCommerce developers on our recommended list here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

In addition, don’t hesitate to reach out to some of the great resources we have available for support. The WooCommerce community is filled with talented open-source developers, and many of them are active on the channels listed below:

    Hope this helps!
