Hi, i’ve just submitted a plugin and got approved. Now i would like to add a link to my readme.txt that points to the documentation (stored in my website) that i made in pdf, am i allowed to do this? More generally, is it ok if i put links which i believe could be useful to the readme.txt? Thanks!

I have heard somewhere, that Google is not favor of putting links in the theme or plugins people will create.

OK thanks for all the responses, i think i’ve found a solution to my answer. Looking to the other plugins in the WordPress plugin directory i noticed that most of the developers added links pointing to live demos and other resources, therefore i might assume that is ok to put links to the readme.txt.

I didn’t know that, it might be true, but since the readme file purpose is just to serve as a plugin description for the wordpress plugin directory, i think it’s fine to add some useful links. That should not drop your page rank.
