Can I add a second custom base product permalink?

  • When I set up my woocommerce many years ago I only sold movies and set up custom base product permalink as this – xxxxxxx.com/movies/

    But now I need to sell books as well as movies so I want xxxxxxx.com/books/

    Is this possible?

    Right now when I add a book item it looks like /movies/book-item which I do not want. At the very least I do not want /movies/ in the book permalink. Thanks for replies….

    One idea I have is to create a new category – movies. Group all movies under this category. Then set the new custom permalink as xxxxxxxx.com/category/

    Which would be the same for the existing url’s – xxxxxxx.com/movies/
    and no redirect is required.

    Anyone see a problem with this?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late response.

    “create a new category – movies” and another category ‘books’ and in our plugin set to remove product_cat from the url. You will get what you need.
