You should get a notification upon each file upload that occurs on the front side of the website, provided that you have configured the entries on the Notification Settings tab.

Notifications are not sent for upload jobs that occur on the Dashboard side.

Ok, I understand now. The plugin would not allow for this. It does not recognize users, so once the confirmation screen is dismissed, the list will remain hidden.
