Can Give WP be used by a regular business that is not a non-profit? I publish an online magazine and also a small media production house. We would like to raise money from supporters of our work and for specific projects such as a documentary about a noted artist. I tried to set up WooCommerce to accept such donations, but it is very complex to set up. Give WP seems much more elegant.

Dear Matheus: In trying to set up the Give WP plug in, when I go to connect PayPal it is not recognizing my existing PayPal account. This is very frustrating. Douglas

This is possibly happening because you are trying to use your real account while GiveWP is in test mode. We cover this in our documentation here https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/paypal-donations/.

Should I set up the sandbox account as personal or business? I am hoping to accept donations to support a web project and am not a non-profit.

OK, I have set it up as a business account and the sandbox link is connected. But how do I connect up my existing PayPal account? Sorry to be so dense. This is not my forte. All I want to do is make things. ??

Regarding Venmo, it’s not an option currently, but we are collecting requests from our users to decide if we should create an add-on for it.
