    Hi,

I restored a WP site 3.7.1 to my localhost. I restored both the database and the files and folders and changed in phpmyadmin inside wp-options both home and siteurl to reflect the new location which is https://localhost/koki.

The result is that I can get to the homepage and wp-admin but cannot get to any other page. All else gives me similar to “The requested URL /koki/o-kokiju/ was not found on this server.” errors.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Cheers!
    Ana

  • go to permalinks page in backend and resave them, should fix 404 error.

Thanks Laliz. I read that in some articles but I cannot get to Setting-Options-Permalink in my Wp-admin. The admin interface locked by design I guess. Is there another way to get to the permalinks settings?

are you loggin in with admin user?

switch to default theme and then do it.it should be doable.

    Thanks Laliz. It worked!

    1. I had to login as admin.
    2. I saved again Permalinks and created a new .htaccess file with the content given in the box at the bottom of the page.
