    Hi,

I have a digital product (i.e. that can be downloaded) that I do not wish to distribute further at the moment. I’m thinking of changing the status of the product from “Published / Public” to “Draft” so the product won’t be available in my shop.

However, I would like to confirm that by doing so, I am not removing access to the file to customers that already purchased it (i.e. I want them to still be able to connect to their account and download the product if needed).

Could you please confirm that I can achieve that by setting the product in draft? If not, is there an alternative?

    Thank you,

And more generally, what would be the best approach to make a product unavailable to new customers?

    Thanks

    Hello,
I just tested this and I was still able to download purchased files after setting the product to Draft.

Even trashing it worked. As long as you don’t delete it permanently.

I think that drafting it is a good solution.

Thanks Nicola, appreciate the quick feedback. As a temporary measure, I’ve set the product as “Out of stock”. It seems like it does the trick too.

Tried drafting, which seems to work too. I dont know if one solution should be preferred over the other but at least both work!

    Thanks
