    Hi Again Tobias,
Thanks to your help, information in the FAQs and searching the support forum I’m feeling pretty good about what I’ve been able to accomplish. (I have no web design background.) I’m down to the last tweak of my membership list. I have searched and can’t find this mentioned anywhere. On the Excel file I’m importing the column with email addresses has them as active links. You can click on them and it opens your email with the address in the to field. When they are on the table on the website, they have lost that ability. The table is here https://www.shipyardwomensclub.org/?page_id=765 and the password is

I’m not sure if this is a theme issue or if it just isn’t possible.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, this is possible, and the quickest way would probably be to use this TablePress Extension: https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/

Quick response again! I’ll download it, will it know where to go or do I have to move it somewhere? (more proof of where I am on the techno chain!)

    Hi,

you will just have to upload, install and activate it like a regular WordPress plugin. The quickest way should be via the “Plugins” -> “Add New” -> “Upload” screen. Then, just activate it and add the new parameter to the Shortcode of your table.

    Regards,
    Tobias

It took we awhile to figure it out since it didn’t show up on the search from the “Plugins” -> “Add New” -> “Upload” screen…BUT I could download it from your first link then use the “or upload a plugin in .zip format via this page” link so now I’ve got it installed and unpacked. Next step it to give it a try. thanks again, I’ll report back when I have success!

YES!!! It’s just that easy. All the email addresses are now clickable links. I remember when you were helping me with something a year or so ago I noticed you like baseball. Take a few minutes and enjoy John McCutcheon singing this song from his CD, Sermon on the Mound.

and another great song about Sara Tucholsky
