    Hi

Is it possible for the user (the customer – one that doesnt have a wordpress account and no account at all) to send you a file (for example pdf) with this plugin?

    And is the connection safe?

    Best regards
    Sara

    I’m imagining a contact form with a file uploading feature. ?? ?? ??

Hi, you can install the Free version of the plugin. It allows visitors to upload files as well. It also allows to add user fields on the form, like a contact form.

Regarding security, the plugin is secure and will not allow dangerous files to be uploaded. However for better security it is strongly recommended to define a list of allowed file types.

Does the file get uploaded to a server (where you get an notification about the upload) or does the file come in an e-mail? ??

It gets uploaded to the server. If you want, you can also receive it in your email. The plugin supports email notifications.

The upload form has a visual editor. You can see the various options there. Here is how you can open the visual editor: https://www.iptanus.com/how-to-use-the-visual-editor-of-wordpress-file-upload-plugin/

Can you also get the plugin to upload the file to a local file storage? For example a (local) drive on the pc.

Hi, when you say local file storage, do you mean the file system where you have the website? or another PC?

If you mean the file system of the machine where you have your website, this is what the plugin does. It stores uploaded files in the file system of the website.
