Hello, this is a very handy plugin! I have created a CMW menu that is being used on a sidebar as a section submenu. The menu is currently displayed as a hierarchical list and has enough items that when viewed on a mobile, the menu is a bit unwieldy. Is there a way to to trigger the CMW menu to a responsive display as a select drop menu instead when viewing on mobile or smaller width browsers? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

    Regards,
    Frank

With CMW you’d have to hook into a filter and code some PHP that created a duplicate of the output, but as a SELECT rather than a list. Then you’d have to supply the CSS that responsively displayed one or the other depending on screen widths.

An easier way might be to use something like the jQuery Responsive Select Menu plugin? (I searched WordPress for “menu to select” to find that, and I’m sure there will be others as well)

Thank you, I tried out the plugin you suggested, jQuery Responsive Select Menu, and it works! I had previously done some searching but thought those responsive menu plugins would affect the main nav menu which I didn’t want. This plugin allowed me to specify which menu I want to change, which is perfect.

    Best regards,
    Frank
