Can clients login and see the history of their paid invoices?

Yes. You can use Invoice History shortcode or widget for that.

Shortcode: [wp-invoice-history title=”Your Title” allow_types=”invoice,quote” allow_statuses=”active,paid,pending”]

Works the same way as ‘Invoice History’ widget. Shows invoice list for currently logged in users.

I used Shortcode: [wp-invoice-history title=”Your Title” allow_types=”invoice,quote” allow_statuses=”active,paid,pending”] and it doesnt display any history. I made 5 invoices under the same account and it doesnt show any of them.

Was you logged in when checking that page? That shortcode is working for me. Try also to change theme in order to investigate the issue.

It worked now once I logged in as the customer. But when you log in it takes you to the wp dashboard. Is that what its supposed to do?

This is default wordpress functionality. You can set up it up to your needs.

any recommendations? Can I make it go to a page where it has the past invoices shortcode?

I just presumed that this is possible. In our plugin there isn’t such functionality to redirect you to invoice page.
