I’ve set up a user level that grants access to member pages. I also have a WooCommerce product labeled as ‘membership.’ The user level is set to expire after 1 month. When a user purchases the product, they gain access to the member pages for a month, and after that, they lose access once the expiration date passes, with the user level showing ‘expired’—this part functions as expected. However, how can I automate the renewal process? When a user purchases another month, the expiration date doesn’t update. Is this the expected behavior, or could there be an issue with my settings?

Im using an automation trigger when product is purchased

    Kind regards

As a follow up, I notice now that the Access level is not assigned even after purchasing said product.

For testing purposes I removed the access level from my own account and then purchased the product. But my account was not added to the members list.

    Hi,

The automator should handle membership extensions out of the box, i.e. if it’s triggered for a user that is already a member (whether active or expired), their membership will be extended/renewed by the set level duration.

Would it be possible to share some more details about how you test purchases in WooCommerce? Then I will see if I can reproduce the problem.
