    I was hoping someone might be able to help and give some advice.

    I recently helped a set up a site and installed CampTix for the registration and Ticketing.

    We had a lot of “Cancelled” “Failed” and “Timeout” is there any documents out there explaining what these are and why they may have occurred?

    The main problem though is that is appears that some people had registered, been charged (via a redirect to PayPal) but then not put into the “Published” category. Meaning that some people though being charged were not included on the guest list for entry.

    I am so hoping that someone can shine some light as they want to use the system again ??

    Hi Nick, it’s normal to see a lot of cancelled/failed/timeouts; please check out the Attendee Statuses page on the wiki.

    I’ve never seen an attendee charged but not marked as Published before. Are you able to reproduce the problem, or provide any extra details? What status do they have? What entries are in the CampTix Meta Log box on their Attendee page?

    thanks for coming back to me.

    Sadly I cannot replicate the problem, tried many times prior to launch an had no problems and cant seem to get it to fail again either.

    There were a few that managed to get to a pay, they received a receipt from PayPay too but were not published on the site.

    I will use one example and supply you with the log data and maybe you can see something in there that I don’t understand.

    The Status is Failed, but i have a copy of PayPal confirmation.

    I am hopping to go back to the client with a solution today, or at least an explanation as to why this may have happened. Is anyone able to shine any light?

    Sorry NIck, but I’m still not sure what’s causing the problem. The logs don’t really provide enough detail to track it down. If you’re running WordPress Multisite, you could install CampTix Network Tools, which has better logging.

    We’re thinking about ways to improve the logging in CampTix itself, but don’t have any definitive plans right now.

    In the mean time, let me know if you discover any additional details or clues that might indicate what’s causing the problem.
