Calotropis Theme getting rid of comment box?

I just switched to the Calotropis Theme and have disable commenting, i’ve even gone as far as deleting the entire comments.php coding but it still shows up. i’ve gone into single post and made changes but the comment box still shows up. I’m attempting to get rid of the comment box so I can use the facebook comment box instead. Any help would be appreciated. My site is https://www.strictlyhiphopnews.com
