calling external js file smartfaq.min.js on every page even when not used

I was looking at my client’s website’s homepage on Google’s page analyzer and notice that the smartfaq external javascript file is being called on every page of my site even though I only use it on one page (the FAQ page). Can someone tell me why this is and is there a way of preventing this? Or, is there a way I can add async to the call so it doesn’t hinder my page from loading as quickly? Thank you.
