Callback occasionally fails to set order status as completed

Theme : BespokeWe are using the cardsave redirect payment plugin and generally it works without any problems however occasionally when a payment has been approved by the payment processor the order status fails to get changed to order completed meaning that the customer fails to receive a receipt.
I’m fairly sure this is an issue with the security settings on the users machine prohibiting the callback but has anyone else found this problem or worked out what would be causing it.
