I am receiving this message when I check Wordfence Live Traffic:

Wordfence Live Activity: Call to Wordfence API to resolve IPs failed: We received an error response when trying to contact the Wordfence scanning servers. The HTTP status code was [502]

Also, the plugin had somehow been deactivated, and I have other security measures in place that are not showing any admin or anyone else deactivating the plugin. And I used WF last night. So I’m not sure what happened between then and now.

    Any ideas or help?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,
Actually this error message means that your server couldn’t manage to retrieve a successful response when tried connecting to our servers.

This maybe a temporary problem -I’m not sure if you are still getting this message- but you can try the following:
    – Check “Connectivity” section under (Wordfence > Diagnostics).
    – Try unchecking “Enable SSL Verification” option under (Wordfence > Diagnostics > Debugging Options).
    – Make sure you have the latest version of both Wordfence and WordPress.
    – Do you get any error message during scan? or your scans run without any problem?

    Keep me updated,
    Thanks.
