Call to undefined method WP_Error::crop()

    We just moved the site that we’ve been working on to an Ubuntu server with PHP 5.5.21-1 running WP 3.9.1

    When we try to crop an image, nothing happens and “Call to undefined method WP_Error::crop() in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/acf-image-crop-add-on/acf-image-crop-v5.php on line 531” gets logged.

    We haven’t found what the issue may be, we have already confirmed that the GD libraries are installed.

    Any ideas what may be causing this?

    Hi there,

    I hope you found a solution. The new version of the plugin has better error handling, and should at least try to tell you what the problem might be. This does sound like the server needs some library, though.
