I am having the exact same issue, anyone have a resolution? Version 3.4.2

I received the same error when updating the plugin to 1.6 on a client’s site – they were on WP 3.3.1. Updating WP to 3.5.1 fixed the issue.

This is how to solve this problem

replace all files with wordpress newest version except the wp-content.

Then update the detail connection database in wp-config.php

Finally it solved. My problem with this matter is gone.
