After upgrading to 4.1.2 I get a blank browser page in the admin and front end when accessing the site. (Not a big deal as the site is not yet public. ?? )

I used ftp to move the plugin out of the Plugins folder and the site is working again. I tried reinstalling the plugin fresh and then got a message saying DG couldn’t be activated because it generated a fatal error.

The error in the log is:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function isSuccess() on a non-object in /xxxxx/xxxxxxx/xxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/document-gallery/inc/class-setup.php on line 412

Not sure if it matters, but the document-gallery.php file says it is version 4.1.1 even though the install page indicates version 4.1.2. is being installed.

Thanks for any help on this.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for reporting. Given the issues reported by you and others, I’m rolling back the stable version to 4.0 until we have a chance to address the various issues properly. You’ll want to uninstall DG, then you can re-install 4.0.

The version number issue is interesting though. That suggests that WP.org may have messed up on their end when handling the release. I’ll have to dig into that further because 4.1.2 definitely had the right version. Can you tell me whether that version was in the README.txt header also?

    Thanks for the quick response!

I just reinstalled 4.0 and things look good.

I may have been confused as to the versions because I think my first upgrade was done just before you uploaded 4.1.2. The first upgrade I did was via the WP Upgrade panel and I did a bulk upgrade of 5 plugins. That is the one that busted the site so I simply moved the plugin out of the folder.

When I reinstalled, then I noticed the difference in versions from the one I moved out of the folder and the reinstall. I was looking at the source for the first upgrade but using the second upgrade.

So, the upshot is, your isSuccess problem is real, but the versioning problem is all a fig newton of my imagination. ?? Sorry.

Glad to hear it! That being broken is the one thing that would have been out of my control and a real pain to diagnose.

And yes, definitely able to reproduce the isSuccess issue on my end. That’s what I get for trying to get the release out before I went to bed at 2am ??

    Hi Steve,

We’ve just pushed out 4.1.3, which should be a much more stable product. If you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to followup here.

    Thanks Dan,

To confirm, updating to 4.1.3 was flawless.
