call the widget from php

I’m not sure if you’re saying you don’t want to use the shortcode at all, but if you’re not opposed to it, you can always do this within a your template file where you’d like the widget to appear:

<?php echo do_shortcode( '[twitter-widget]' ); ?>

There are a ton of options you can pass into the shortcode.
