Call single event category name in theme file

    I’m at a loss and can’t seem to find this anywhere. How do I just display the event category name for an event in Events Manager within a theme file? I’m trying to title the page with the event’s category name, but I can’t see anywhere how to output #_CATEGORYNAME through PHP.

    Any suggestions?
