    Hi,

I’m wondering whether it’s possible to call “Products” something else at the page title? I’m not referring to specific, individual products, but rather, the literal word “Products” displayed at the page title, prior to selecting a category.

The scenario: When clicking on the shop page at a WordPress installation with WooCommerce installed, a list of product categories is displayed. When clicking on one of those categories, the name of the category is displayed at the page title, which is great. But, prior to clicking on a category (i.e., while still at the shop’s main page, which lists all categories), we see “Products” listed in the page title. I’m hoping to be able to change it to something else.

If there isn’t a natural, built-in option within WooCommerce settings or similar, and doing something like this would require creating a custom plugin or some such thing, I don’t mind doing that. I’m moderately familiar with creating WordPress plugins, and have created a few basic plugins in the past, one of which is publicly available and regularly maintained/supported. However, I’m not entirely sure which hooks/filters/etc I would need to leverage to be able to achieve what I want to achieve here.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Caleb M / Maikuolan.

    Hello @maikuolan,

Sorry, but I’m not sure if I’m getting the full picture here.

If you’re referring to the page title of the shop page then you can easily change it from the page’s settings.

In case you don’t remember which page you assigned as the shop page, simply go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products to find it.

If I misunderstood your request, then please provide a few screenshots to help us better understand what you’re trying to achieve. ??

You can use Snipboard to upload screenshots.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi @maikuolan

Thanks for sharing the screenshot above.

I understand that your site’s shop page is entitled Products based on this screenshot.

On my personal site running on the default Storefront theme, however, I am unable to reproduce the issue on my end. The Shop page is entitled as Shop as you can see below:

Meanwhile, I did some research and found this article could be a good starting point: How to Change the WooCommerce Shop Page Title?

    Hope this helps!

    Hello,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Thanks.
