Call from external site?

Is it possible to send a request to this plugin from an external site, to execute a search on multiple tags? The scenario is this: A user will generate a list of relevant tags via a process on one site, which will be sent via query string through a generated link, or posted via Javascript (whichever is supported). This should result in the display of all items which match the specified tags.

Hopefully this is something that’s supported.
