calender for side bar

    Hi,
    I’m making my first site in WP. I need to put a calender of events in the side bar. I would also like a list of say 3-4 upcoming events to display underneath.

    When I did a search for calender I got these. Are any one of these better suited for what I am looking for?

    Banla
    Core Side Bars
    BuddyPress Events calender
    ThickBox announcements

    Well I just installed Larson’s. How do I change the language from German to English?
