    I’ve downloaded the latest plugs for the Events Calendar. Created 2 events. I can see them in the list – but cannot get a calendar view to come up. In addition, I don’t see the listings of ‘List’ – ‘Month’ or ‘Day’ come up in order to switch. Please advise.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @letaajohnson,

    Please try modifying the Basic Template Settings for the plugin under Events > Settings > Display. You may need to change the Events template to work with your theme.

    Please also check for conflicts by following our guide,?Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins, and let us know the result.

    Thank you,
    Erica

    Erica:

    First of all, thank you for that solution. I did have the wrong Events template selected. So now the calendar is showing.

    Next question – how do I get the events to show up on the calendar view in the individual date box?

    For example, if I have an event on September 20 – I want it to show the heading and link on that calendar day… and when I click on it – then it shows me the text behind the event?

    I’m attaching a URL as an example below.

    I’m very good at wordpress stuff but this plug in is brand new to me. Thanks in advance.

    Hello @letaajohnson,

    Thanks for your reply.

    You can create a featured event, making it appear more prominent in your calendar.

    Try editing the event, go to Event Options block and check Featured Event.

    Refer to – Creating?Featured?Events.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Frank – well I did exactly what you said – and it changes the ‘icon’ on the calendar from a dot to a flag – but no text shows up on the calendar.

    tcihouston.org/events/ if you look at the event for the 22nd of this month – you will see the icon change.

    I think we’re getting there but still not quite there. I’m wondering if only the PRO version allows for text on the calender view?

    Thanks in advance,

    Leta Johnson

    Frank – not just available with Pro. the other website that has text on calendar boxes does not use PRO. Probably one little setting but it’s not obvious.

    Hi @letaajohnson, chiming in here. It seems like your layout has set a max-width that’s triggering the mobile view.

    See the screenshot here:

    To test, can you try this and go to AppearancesCustomizeAdditional CSS, then insert this Custom CSS here:

    .tribe-events-page-template .site-content .wrapper {
        max-width: 100%;
    }

    See if that shows the entire calendar view. Please keep us posted.

    Abz: You are a rock star. That is EXACTLY the fix I needed. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
