I used to have some links pointed to the URL of specific calendar tags (i.e. domain.com/news/tag/fundraiser). This allowed me to show upcoming fundraisers, regardless of what Category (bus trips, banquets, etc) they fall under. Events would be listed using the same template and sorting as the List view.

After the latest TEC update, tags are no longer listed that way. Now, tag pages look just like the Blog tag page, using the blog template. The latest events are shown at the top, even though the latest 10 events are in 2014. Please let me know how I can display a list of Events with a specific Tag using the Calendar List (upcoming event) format.

  • Hi bdblake,

In 3.x we have made use of post tags – and so the normal post tag taxonomy archive page will indeed be used. It would really be up to you to format/re-order this – though as ever we are open to feature requests:

Can it be changed back, or at least give us the option to choose which method we prefer for tags? Maybe the option could toggle some sort of page include or CSS change so we can view tag pages differently. It just doesn’t make sense to me the way tag pages are now listed, given the purpose that an online calendar serves… to show people what’s coming up next. Just my 2 cents.

Prior to our 3.0 release we didn’t actually have a tag taxonomy, custom or repurposed, for events – so I’m not actually sure how you accomplished this previously unless it was simply by adding a customization to integrate events and an alternative custom taxonomy.
