After yesterdays update issues I’ve moved into troubleshooting mode to see if I can give you a decent report about the shortcode failures on one of my more complicated sites. The API key is fine, the Calendar feeds are back, but the shortcode is not working.

The site exists in a multisite network and some shortcodes are either failing or display empty results. It may take me a while to look at this further, but I’ll try to follow up with something more helpful if I can.

This is a more complicated site, so it is a multisite configuration using hyperdb. So far the error seems to be missing mb-string functions on this older RedHat 6 server. I’ll leave the error code below. It’ll take me time to get back to checking this out, so in the meantime, I hope this helps.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function SimpleCalendar\Feeds\mb_detect_encoding() in /var/www/html/web2/html/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/feeds/google.php on line 185

You will need to make sure you have the required mb-string components on your PHP installation.

Assuming this has been resolved since there has not been a response here. Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks!
