    Hi there,

Really nice plugin, and appreciate the generous free option (we are a small charity with a nothing budget, so props always given to developers that offer free alternatives)

One thing we would love to see added, if it’s possible, is the ability to search the calendar / filter it by keyword or some equivalent.

Google obviously has this capability, so I’m not sure what would be involved it carrying this over into the ICS plugin, but if it’s possible I can see it being a very useful feature.

    Thanks very much in advance

Hi, thanks for your interest in ICS Calendar!

The search/filter capability is a feature of the paid Pro version. You can see a comparison of the features between the free and Pro versions here:

My apologies for the delayed response and for overlooking this.

Thanks very much for responding to the query.

Sorry for reopening the thread, but I could not find an answer to another of my queries, searching the site help.

Can you pass parameters to a page with the calendar to perform searches?

    As an example:

Lets say I want to have someone click a button on another page which is linked to a “Keyword” – such as “Office” in the below example.

I would like to have that be prefilled in the “Show events matching” input box on another page where the calendar is located.

Normally I could pass a url parameter and use javascript to grab it, but there may be scope for performing this in a simpler way, also if natively processed I wouldn’t have to try and detect/wait for the calendar to load.

Thanks very much for your help again.

No, the plugin does not support passing a search query into the page. The mechanism you’re describing with JavaScript is of course a bit convoluted but it should work. (But we are definitely in paid plugin territory here so you can feel free to contact me directly but we should not discuss it any further here in the forums.)

I understand. I’m still evaluating different solutions at the moment for what we’re trying to achieve but I’ll definitely be in touch If I get the pro version and possibly need some assistance.

    Much appreciated.
