Got a wordpress notification that said, “WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, The Events Calendar.” Went into dashboard and the plugin mysteriously is GONE. The events page redirects to the home page.
Tried to reinstall the plugin and although the database appears intact, the event page still redirects and all events can not be viewed.
Looked into the scheduled actions list and saw this, “

      action started via WP Cron
    3. 2023-07-20 18:30:38 +0000
      action complete via WP Cron

Contacted Flywheel support and they said “

I’m seeing the following errors from the Events Calendar plugin:

“NOTICE: PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘ActionScheduler_Lock’ not found in /www/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/woocommerce/action-scheduler/classes/abstracts/ActionScheduler.php:29”

    Please help. Thank you

    Hi @erik-blair

I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. I will inform the team about the issue and keep you updated as soon as I receive more information.

Tried to reinstall the plugin and although the database appears intact, the event page still redirects and all events can not be viewed.

Just to confirm, are you referring to the wp-admin dashboard’s events page? Or from your events page on your website’s frontend?

I was referring to the event’s page on the website, which started working after I posted the issue here. It is now working although we did not do anything on our end to ‘fix’ it.

    Hi @erik-blair

I’m not exactly sure what happened either. However, if you encounter the same problem in the future, you may want to consider disabling temporarily your caching plugin and server-side caching to see if that helps resolve the issue. [see Caching with The Events Calendar]

Just to confirm, does the fatal error message continue to appear on your end? If so, please provide the full logs. We’d like to check it further on our side.
