Calendar Plugin

Hello,

I’ve done quite a bit of research but haven’t quite found exactly what I’m looking for. I am curious if anyone knows of any calendar plugin that will automatically create an event after a events post in created in the blog section of the site.

For example:
The client creates a new post to be featured on the blog with a specific date attached in the custom entry field. The Calendar notices this date was added and adds the event in the calendar. Now the event would both be listed on the blog page and in the calendar. If you click on the specific event title in the calendar the link will take you to the single post page of the event listed in both places.

If anyone has any ideas of a plugin that does this or any solution to this that would be great.
