The calendar is not displaying events on the front facing page. The calendar itself is displaying but neither short codes (days in advance and the [showCalendar] are not showing events.

I have rechecked my calendar settings and received a confirmation message that I was connecting with the database. Any ideas?

Also the “Preform an advanced search” link is simply taking me to the 404 page. What page is it looking for?

Do you have a link to your installation’s public facing side that I can check?

I think I figured out the 404. WP renamed the root directory. I’ll make the changes and get an update out ASAP.

Is you event in a public branch/room container? And is Internal/Do not publish unchecked on the event?

    Thread Starter PROSSIS

    (@prossis)

    No Public and unchecked.

I just approved a front end generated event and it is also not showing. [showEvents start_offset=”0″ end_offset=”30″] states “No upcoming events” too.

Your branch needs to be available to the public, but your room container needs to be also.

Make sure that the branch has “Available to the public” checked and the room container does too. The room containers can be private if you have a reservable container (like a display case) that you need to be able to reserve but do not want to show up on the public calendar. If either of these are not checked as Public, nothing will ever appear on the public calendar.

Containers are also public. I have a reservable amenity in the room, but both branch and container are public.

Just made the amenities reservable “No” and no change. I also tried adding in the Page URL but that did not work either.

Any chance it is the firewall with the separate database access?

Does the calendar have an iCal output?

It very well could be. I am working on improving the error reporting on the connection. Have you tried it with error reporting turned on?

where do turn error reporting on?

You shouldn’t have to, let me see if I can improve the connection reporting really quickly..

When you fill in the Event Settings to connect to your DB, do you get any errors or messages? A blank white screen? The form with no messages?

    Thread Starter PROSSIS

    (@prossis)

    Message after submitting:
    “Events Settings

You have successfully edited the Events settings”

With all the form field filled in.

Do you have anything in Staff Events? How about when you check Daily Signs or Contact List? Check dates where you scheduled events and let me know if they show up anywhere.

    Thanks!

They show up in all the back end reports, Contact List and Daily Signs, and show in all searches and they can be edited. The back end calendar also shows all the staff events.

The advance search on the top of the form goes to a non existent page or post. Not sure if this is related to the problem.

Is there something I can look for in the firewall logs?

On the Daily Meetings list, under the location, it should say Event or Meeting. Can you let me know what they are?
