I added an item to the calendar that includes an event description. Here is the HTML I put on the event:

The Mitchell County Board of Commissioners will hold a special session on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the EDC Conference Room, Administration Building, located in Bakersville, NC 28705. The purpose of this meeting will be to hold Budget Workshop. Access the Agenda

However, when the event information is viewed, only one word shows for the description:

    single

I recently moved site hosts and everything was transferred over and has worked normally until now. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Update to 3.5.2 (just released) and let me know if this is still the case.

    Hello.

I too have this problem. The pop up on the actual calendar is working perfectly but once you click on read more it has the title of the event and then “single” wiritn under it and nothing else. According to my pluggins i am up to date with version 3.5.4 (should i revert to 3.5.2. as mentionned in post above).

    Thanks you

    Hello,
I have this problem too. Only the word “single” is shown. Version 3.5.4 is installed.

No, don’t revert to 3.5.2; that won’t help. I’m not yet sure where this problem is coming from; I’ve been asking people to share their settings with me. There are two settings that are most likely to be relevant: My Calendar > Design > Templates (what is enabled and what is the template used) and the shortcode in use for that calendar view. If you can share any of that information, I’d appreciate it.

Found it, thanks to somebody sending me their settings export. This is an issue specific to having legacy templates enabled with permalinks disabled. If you either switch to PHP templating (My Calendar > Settings > Display) or enable search friendly permalinks (My Calendar > Settings), then this will work as expected.

I’ll ship an update to address it, but this would be more immediate.

Phew, thank goodness there’s a fix. Just come to put the beer festival tickets on sale and got this problem.

Thanks for the fix. “Enable PHP templating” and the description is shown again.

Joe, I apologize for not reaching back out but I did want you to know that the upgrade to version 3.5.2 fixed the issue I had with the “single” word post.

This also fixed the issue. that you so much. As usual great plugin and great support

Joe, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but between my post 2 1/2 hours ago and now the plug-in has broken again and is just showing “single” for the information for an event. What should I try now to fix it? I am up-to-date on the plug-in and WordPress.

I updated our website an hour or so back and the problem was still there so I restored the backup. Tickets for the beer festival had to go online today so I’ve stuck with not updating the plug-in. Seems to be working okay as 20 tickets sold already.
