This morning I’ve noticed that my site has a strange problem with the events calendar. The site has automatically updated to WordPress 4.4.1. and now when I click on a calendar link I am getting a warning message saying this connection is not trusted. The calendar was working perfectly yesterday, so I am guessing that this is due to the WordPress update. I am using the most up-to-date version of the events organiser plugin.

Hi, my colleague has just suggested that I re-upload my theme for this site and now all the links are working perfectly again. Just to clarify. This is the exact same theme with no changes. All I did was upload it and replaced the theme folder that was currently in place on the live site.

    Hi,

I don’t think Event Organiser is the culprit here. It simply uses get_permalink() to retrieve the link to the event: whether that URL is https:// or https:// is determined by WordPress and any other relevant SSL plug-ins you may have. Event Organiser is agnostic in that respect.

Thanks, it did it again when I checked the site this morning. I don’t have any SSL plugins on this site, so I’m guessing it’s something to do with WordPress. I’ve updated the permalinks via settings in WordPress and it seems to be ok now.
