  • see curioso’s post above that indicates what lines of code need to be replaced. I was having the same issue and it worked for me.

…been there and done that – still having issues with Mozilla.
I’m going to back track and see what else I’ve done that may have affected this, since it works for IE apparently.

Gaile, I’m using Mozilla, and I just did the code that Curioso posted and it now works for me. I do have a somewhat fresh copy of WP1.2, so maybe that’s helping me.
Wanna elaborate what Moz is doing?

Gaile – be sure to clean out your cache… .FF/Mozi is *very* good about using what’s in it’s cache. I’ve had problems before where new changes weren’t being picked up because of that.

Note: the same fix given by Curioso above is needed in template-functions-general.php in the get_bloginfo (about line 21 in my copy of v1.2) if you want your rss etc. feeds to work.

Just adding a “calendar stuck on month” note to trigger the search function for others…. I’ve been looking for an answer for several days, now….. I had a problem where the calendar was “stuck” on the current month. Clicking the previous month button would display that month’s entries, but the calendar wouldn’t update.
The %year%/%monthnum%/%postname% permalink-solution solved the problem. I had been avoiding it, becuase the trackback-length ruined the display. Found a separate answer to that.

Just for the record, the line you want to edit to fix the calendar links in wp-includes/template-functions-links.php is line number 104, in the get_day_link function. For the text to insert, see Curioso’s post above.

The %year%/%monthnum%/%postname% workaround is not a solution for most non-English (non-ASCII?) blogs, due to another limitation in %postname% conversion.

Which is why there’s at least one more way:
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%post_id%

Seems to still be broken in 1.2.2, is this correct?
