Calendar Changing to Private – Remove/Block former Calendar Subscribers?

    I’m changing a website calendar from public to private. It will be important to prevent previous calendar subscribers from seeing any new events. Aside from changing the root domain of site – can .htaccess or another method be used to block or disable previous ical/ics calendar subscribers from receiving new events?
