I am training for the Web Accessibility Specialist Certification, and part of that is knowing the accessibility of forms, including validation.
While I’d love to learn how to create my own forms from scratch, incorporating the accessibility WAI-ARIA roles where needed, it is a LOT of work. Plus you then have to account for the PHP itself.
So I’m curious how much the Caldera Forms conforms with WCAG 2.0 or even 2.1 which was released last month?
I also noticed that for paid users, you can do a Form to PDF. In my training, I’ve learned that most PDF generators do not created tagged PDF files, which means the PDF in the end is not accessible ot screen readers. How about Caldera Forms?
If I have to mediate to make certain things actually accessible, how much can I tough the plug-in code?

Hi, thanks for your interest in Caldera Forms. We believe that the forms should be accessible, according to the WCAG 2.0 spec. I understand that with other form plugins accessibility is an add-on or ignored for some reason.

We’re not perfect. If you do find any issues please open a bug report at github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues

Please try it for yourself. The plugin is free, there is a 7 day free trial of Caldera Forms Pro. See if you like it, let us know how we can improve if you don’t ??
