A customer added two items to the cart and the Shipping calculator seems to be only be charging based on the weight of the last item in the cart.
    first item – 4 x 1.1 lbs = 5 lbs
    second item – 5 x 1.1 lbs = 6 lbs
total ups should be charging the customer for is 11 lbs

customer was only charged for 6 lbs

Also the customer was charged for 6 lbs in commercial rate, when their address is a residential address ( my understanding from other forum topics is that the commercial vs residential issue is being looks at)

How do I fix the weight issue? What could be causing the issue?

  • Hi @nwseed

Please enable debug mode in the configuration: https://wpdesk.me/po/09izigs03pps.png
then, please add the items to the cart and check the debug which will be visible on the checkout page. there should be a weight of the package visible in the log.

Please compare the weight that you can see in the debug with the wight of the cart and check for differences.

As we haven’t got any replies, I’m marking this topic as resolved for now.
