Hi to all!! I have a lengthy form with many Calculation fields. Many hidden and many connected to other Calculations. Also many Radio fields that are hidden too and are used with logic on some Calculations. Results show perfect on the form when filling, but once submitted, on the email some Calculations show “Error: Detected unknown or invalid string identifier: i.”

Any help would be great!! thanks!!

    Hi @pocitos10

    I hope you’re well today!

This sounds like a case of similar issue that we already had reported and found out to be an unexpected bug in the plugin – related to (as you are correctly suspecting) visiblity conditions and calculations used together.

I think I can risk guessing that one of the conditionally visible fields involved in calculations has an option name that starts with a string

    i.

    Is that about right?

If that’s the case, this is something our developers are already working on, though I don’t yet have an ETA on a fix (as it turned out to be quite a complex issue code-wise).

However, it would be good if we could actually check the form itself to make sure if that’s it or if there’s another reason for this (which hopefully we could help solve here). Since each form can be exported from Forminator, would you mind exporting the one in question and sharing it with us?

It would be best to upload the export file to some file storage (like Google Drive or Dropbox or similar) or paste code into pastebin.com service – and just share direct link with us here.

We could then check it to see if that’s the instance of this bug (in which case we’d need to wait for the fix to be included in plugin update) or something that we could address sooner.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Hi Adam how are you. Thanks.
Yes you are right. I have several Radio fields with different values, all with visible conditions and calculations used together. Some strings start with i. like you said. The strange thing is that I have many other strings that start with r. and I have no problem with them showing on the email.
I am planning to start the free trial on the Pro version and I was thinking about giving access if needed to my form thru there.
You think is a good idea at this point?
    Thanks!

    UPDATE
I changed the “i.” beginning part of the strings to random numbers and now email shows all calculations but are not the same results as on the Form. So, after changing that, form Calculations still work fine but all calculations on the email show wrong values. OMG

Its crazy, now I have everything showing ok, with amounts and calculations correct on the email, but not showing the correct calculation amounts on the form. Please help! thanks so much!

    Hi there @pocitos10

Indeed, being able to check your form and dig into possible issues does appear to be needed here.

So yes, either export your form and upload to a file sharing service & share a link to that here, or sign up for the free pro trial if you prefer. It’s up to you, but it would be very difficult to troubleshoot these issues without having the actual form to work with.

    Cheers!

    Hello @pocitos10 ,

We haven’t heard from you for over a week now, so it seems the form is working fine for you.

If you need our further assistance please export the form and share it with us.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
