Calculating Shipping Rate

    Hello,

    I have a quick questions regarding the calculate shipping rate when first checking out. Since we do a flat table rate, it is the same across all states. I was wondering if there was a way to take that off and not make the customer have to enter their state from the drop down list. It can go unnoticed and have had customers complain because it sends them back to the start after they click to check out.

    Ray here from WP eCommerce Support.

    I have a workaround in mind that might work in your situation.

    I am assuming that you charge a flat rate shipping fee.

    First, for all your products, go to each product and variation and add the shipping fee.

    Then disable shipping settings so that it will hide the shipping calculator.

    After that, go to the checkout settings and uncheck the “Display” and “Mandatory” box for state and country or whatever you want to hide.

    Your customer should not have to enter state and country anymore.
